Do You Trust God?

Then nothing is impossible to you.

Trust Him with your everything.

What is SPORTS DIGNITY?

How can one sport dignity? By being all that God created you to be.

Why does sports involve dignity?

  1. Why did God create me in His image? To have dominion subject to Him. This means God created humans to rule in God’s Kingdom.
  2. How can I walk with God? By Faith.

There is only one true God and HE created human beings in His image. To rule the birds of the air, the earth, everything on the earth and the seas. All humans have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and the wages of sin is dead, God sent Jesus Christ His Son to die for our sins, be buried and resurrect after the third day according to the Scriptures.

Whosoever believes in Jesus Christ shall be saved. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved from eternal death (separation from the one true God).

I am able to be all that God has created me to be.

  1. Thinking/Talking.
  2. Production of value for someone other than myself.

A viable alternative. Able to walk away from the offer on the table.

Already do the alternative (e.g., act, write, produce). Then, demand your salary minimum. Actively do the alternative. Be who God created you to be completely.

You may not know how much you have impacted my life but you have. Thank you.

You are the reason why I started liking football. It was in early 2020, when I saw a video suggestion on the righthand side of YouTube. It was titled “the story of Jalen Hurts.” I clicked on it and learned about your unprecedented college football career. The 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship in January, you still staying on the team and the 2018 SEC Championship in December. Thereafter, your transfer to Oklahoma.

After watching that video, I became so intrigued by you: the inner-strength, the story and the grace of God in you to walk on the storm, keeping your faith in God and coming over to the other side. Thereafter, I watched the 2020 NFL draft to see what team would be blessed to have you – the Eagles. Ever since, I have been a supporter of you and football.

So thank you. Your story inspires me to be who God has called me to be, especially during difficult and uncertain times. Because sometimes, life is like John 13:7 where Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing, you do not realize right now, but you will understand later.” Therefore, you inspire me to still keep my faith in Jesus even when I do not understand.

Thank you Jalen Hurts.

What sport should my child play?

What ever sport the Lord Jesus wills for your child to play. God’s will is the ultimate and should/must be adhered to for His grace to shine upon your life as it should.

Now, in considering football versus baseball or basketball, here are a few things to consider.

For football, consider the position, the risk to the body and the passion with which your child plays. Not every great football player started off playing the position in which he eventually excelled in. However, passion and position have a lot to do with one’s desire to continue playing football, especially in the collegiate and professional levels.

For baseball, likewise consider position, the risk of being hit with the baseball at full speed. Knowing how to hit a baseball, run, catch, and throw are necessary skills in baseball. However, the risk to one’s body is overall less in baseball than the risk to one playing football especially, in a non-quarterback position. Consider, the hands of football players. The shape of the football, how one’s hands conform to catch the football effectively. What is the overall risk to playing football as opposed to playing baseball?

For basketball, skill and talent in the desired position is important. However, the risk to one’s body in basketball is not as great as the risk to one’s body in football.

For all sports, consider first and foremost the will of God. This is supreme and trumps every other analysis. Thousands may fall by my hand and tens of thousands by my right hand but they shall not come near me. Only with my eyes shall I behold and see the reward of the wicked. I need not be afraid of what others are afraid of, especially when God has called me to do something. Just like David, I can kill Goliath with a sling because who is this uncircumcised philistine to come against the Lord of Host? Just like Zerubabel, mountains must be made plain before me. If God has assigned me to a task, then I am more than capable to do it exceedingly well. I will do it with the skill, zeal, expertise and grace that God has given me to do it with.

Be blessed everyone.
